Cardinal Health on Wednesday launched its suite of Navista tech solutions (TS), comprising artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled, connected, point-of-service technologies geared toward community-based oncologists.
These oncology practices "are facing unprecedented pressure as they pivot to adapt to value-based reimbursement models," remarked Heidi Hunter, president of specialty solutions at Cardinal Health, adding that Navista provides "the most complete set of integrated, AI-enabled solutions and actionable insights to enable oncologists to improve patient care and enhance practice performance."
Specifically, Navista TS includes the Episode Analytics data-driven cost-tracking tool that Cardinal Health says helps oncologists and administrators accurately measure the cost of care, both at initiation and during the episode of care. It also includes an integrated platform called CureMD Oncology Cloud that comprises electronic health records, a practice management system, patient portal and telehealth solutions, which together "simplify decision making, streamline operations and ensure a smooth transition to value-based care," the company said.
Other components of Navista TS are Jvion's AI-enabled population health decision support system called CORE, which helps oncologists proactively identify patients at high-risk of adverse events, while Deep Lens' VIPER clinical trials matching solution uses AI to identify and match cancer patients to clinical trials, including precision medicine studies, "faster and more efficiently," Cardinal Health added.
