SolGent's coronavirus detection kit selling worldwide - (The Korea Times via NewsPoints Desk)

  • SolGent's new coronavirus detection kit DiaPlexQ is selling worldwide with the company noting the test could confirm in less than two hours whether a person was compromised with the virus, The Korea Times reported.

  • SolGent said that it had exported 5000 kits to Vietnam and, following the country's approval based on its state lab's certification, plans to distribute more.

  • Meanwhile, China and Middle Eastern countries have signed purchase contracts for about 40,000 kits, of which 2500 have arrived at hospitals in Beijing and Shenzhen, while Malaysia, Thailand, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong and Jordan have also received the kits.

  • On February 27, SolGent received approval from the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for domestic emergency use in Korea.

  • The company has also reportedly been waiting for DiaPlexQ to get CE-IVD.
